COMPETITION CRITERIA

Minimum entry criteria for all our stand-alone competitions:

 

The maximum handicap index for all the following competitions is 35.

 

Summer Knockouts

No entry fee.

Must have submitted at least 5 cards in WHS within the previous 12 months of competition start.

Pairs: Draw will match up one lower handicapper with one higher handicapper.

Handicap will be 90% of difference.

 

Order of Merit

Must have joined by the 1st of January of the current year and submitted at least 20 cards recorded in WHS since its inception.

Points only earned in team games (does not include hidden pairs).

Beer Trophy

Must have joined by the 1st of January of the current year and submitted at least 20 cards recorded in WHS since its inception.

Decided on average of best 7 individual scores.

Only scores entered in WHS will count.

 

Medalford & Captain's cup

Must have submitted at least 5 cards in WHS within the last 12 months of the competition start.

Cards to be entered into WHS with 95% playing handicap.

 

Memorial Day Trophy

Pairs: Draw will match up one lower handicapper with one higher handicapper.

All members are strongly advised to put in a General Play Card whenever playing an individual format.

In order to maintain an accurate handicap, England Golf recommends that players return at least 20 scores over a two-year period.
